Launching 2026

The missing
trust layer
for sustainable travel

50+ sustainability certifications. Zero unified verification. Travelers can't tell what's real, operators can't prove what they've earned, and booking platforms can't comply with incoming greenwashing law. We're building the infrastructure that fixes all three.

The problem

The certification landscape is a maze no one can navigate

No unified source of truth
GSTC, Rainforest Alliance, Green Globe, EarthCheck, Travelife, B Corp — each has different criteria, different rigor, different reach. A traveler has no way to compare them or know which actually means something.
Greenwashing is rampant
Self-reported "eco" labels, unverified sustainability claims, and badge-farming with no auditing. Operators know the system is broken and some exploit it. Travelers have no way to know the difference.
Operators can't prove what they've earned
Hotels and tour operators hold real certifications that travelers never see, booking platforms never surface, and corporate travel managers can't verify for Scope 3 reporting.
Regulation is arriving — unprepared
The EU Green Claims Directive (2026) and CSRD require substantiated sustainability claims. Booking platforms and corporate travel programs have no credible verification infrastructure to comply.
Regulatory timeline

The EU Green Claims Directive requires companies to substantiate environmental claims before making them — including travel bookings and operator listings. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) mandates Scope 3 emissions disclosure, including business travel. Both are in effect by 2026. Neither Booking.com, Expedia, nor TripAdvisor has a credible answer.

How it works

Independent verification,
not another standard

01
Scan any booking
Point your camera at a booking confirmation, hotel page, or tour listing. Our AI reads visible sustainability claims and cross-references them against certification databases.
02
Unified verification score
We aggregate across all major certification standards — GSTC, Rainforest Alliance, Green Globe, EarthCheck and more — into one clear, explainable score with no marketing spin.
03
Part of a larger trust network
Travel Conservation is connected to GreenSpecs (product greenwashing detection) and YKO.Earth (climate organization intelligence) — three entry points to one trust infrastructure.
Who it's for

Built for every node
in the travel ecosystem

Travelers
Know before you book. Scan any hotel, tour, or airline and get an honest read on what their sustainability claims actually cover — and what they leave out.
Free
Hotels & Operators
Submit your existing certifications for verification and list under a trusted badge. Give your guests independent proof — not self-reported claims.
